If Trout beats Canelo, I see the same people saying Canelo wasn't any good to begin with, and again Trout shouldn't get much credit for it.

That was a good win. The only people that were most likely saying that are people who can;t give Floyd credit for beating Cotto. It was a good win.

No, when and IF he beats Alvarez which would put his name next to Floyd's, people will do him as they do everyone else. Call him a joke a cherry pick, a fighter who only beat so and so and has never been tested or done this or done that, is too this or too that, is too young, too old, etc...

People will **** all over Trout if he is EVER mentioned with Floyd (which will happen). So no beating Alvarez will only cause people to **** on Alvarez so they can say Trout hasn't beat anyone and if Floyd was to fight him, Floyd wouldn't get any credit because Trout sucks, because Alvarez sucks, because Cotto sucks, because Margartio sucks etc etc etc... People will **** on ANYONE to make it appear that whoever Floyd fights will be looked at as some kind of cherry pick.

Yes it is. If a fighter has 12 round stamina, expect Cotto to lose in the championship rounds, sadly. Imagine if he had Trinidad type stamina??
