Hopkins wouldn't be knocking out anyone, he wouldn't throw enough punches to gain a knockout. I'm glad that this fight isn't going to happen, this would have been REALLY boring. I mean c'mon, they'd just be dancing around the ring for the first 8 rounds and pullin their jabs. Roy might throw a flurry here and there but Bernard is gonna go one punch at a time all night unless they're in a clinch. Roy would win a decision in the worst fight of the year.

Why not?? As of late it doesn't look like it would take much to knock Jones out. Lets be honest the guy has been knocked out cold in 2 straight fights and dazed to the point in the last fight that if tarver had enough energy to press the action he would've knocked him out again. Jones chin isn't right in this point of his career.

so you are comparing Antonio Tarver and Glen Johnsons Power to B-Hops power

Both Glen Johnson and antonio tarver are both stronger than hopkins...besides you are talkin about those 2 people that are natural light heavyweights...when hopkins been fightin at middleweight for awhile now.. hopkins doesnt have the power to KO jones.... Jones has the power to KO hopkins...but i see it hard for jones to catch him....

i just want to know who they both plan on fighting....or the probaly retire....that would be the best decison.... both of them hang the gloves

                Easy pick.

Jones via a boring UD in what could rank as one of the most useless fights ever.

                Add also the most boring.

LoL...My avatar??? Look at yours fool. He looks like the guy from tales form the crips.

I guess I'm VERY alone at the fact that I think Hopkins could KO Jones. Hope the fights does go down so if he gets KO'd I can say I told you so.

                    hmm

Hopkins low punch rate and non-existant power at 175 would not be enough to stop the also cautious Roy Jones Jr. That should be obvious.

But, yeah...I don't think this has anything to do with HBO firing Roy. That has nothing to do with fighting. HBO is a business and they could get money for showing the fight. Hopkins maybe changed his mind like he did vs Toney. Who knows? Maybe Roy did call off the fight so he can commentate for HBO...I hope so.

All this fight getting cancelled means to me is....
we get to see zero punches thrown between the two, as opposed to 79.
