if taylor really wanted to start cementing his legacy as a champion, he should fight all the reputable threats to his throne...sort of like Hopkins did.

"All he did was hurt Jermain Taylor," Shaw said. "He didn't hurt me, he didn't hurt Winky. He hurt boxing and he hurt Jermain because this is an important fight for boxing, an important fight for HBO, at a time when boxing's hurting for real good matches."

          WRONG
taylor is the champion, and wright is still an unproven middleweight. i see nothing wrong with the champion not accepting 50/50, it looks like winky is the one who is scared if he wont take a 3 mil to 4 mil split. i have no problem with dibella and taylor refusing 50/50

If Winky expects a 50/50 money split, he is a fool. Taylor won the WBC/WBA/IBF/WBO belts from the legend Hopkins, and defended three of the belts against Hopkins. Worse, Winky's style guarantees a PPV dud unless his opponent brings out the fans.

Anyone who would be foolish enough to offer Winky 50/50 should be fired for incompetence.
