My reasons for being weary of Broner actually have nothing to do with the whole beating up old women thing.

My problem with Broner is he emulates Floyd to a sickening level without having put the work in Floyd did to earn the right to being an arrogant ****.

Say what you want about Arturo Gatti, but there was no doubt who he was. He didn't run around being anyone but him.

    No hypocrisy here

But this dude has swagger jacked Mayweather from the walk, talk, slang and etc...It's sad to be honest.
He has swagger jacked Mayweather and I'm sure there are other cases of it in the history of sports I can't think of it off the top of my head. But atleast in other cases there was generations apart. Mayweather is still here and now he has a mini me. Don't get me wrong I like to watch Broner fight and I find some of his antics amusing but he's still a grown man that **** rides Floyd

And lets not forget the fighting style. Dude has hijacked it his fighting style is similar to younger Mayweather he was more offensive.

Defense, the way he throws his punches, his facial expressions during the fight.

I mean, SRL did not fight like Sugar Ray Robinson and nor did Ali.

It's nice for a young teen or kid to look up to a guy like that, but o my.
Normally fighters take little pages from other fighters, Broner took the whole book LMAOO

That is why I expect Broner to get his ass whooped one day, and it might be good for him. He doesn't fight naturally, he looks like he is trying to do what he thinks Mayweather would do in that situation. The punches he throws, when he rolls away, the head shake, its all trying to imitate Mayweather what he thinks Mayweather would do at that exact moment.

You can't fight like that and get away with it against really good or great competition.

Broner is really that immature, but he decided to add a page out of Mayweather's book, and at the end of the day he can only do what's beneficial to him, his family and the sport. Maybe once he's established he'll grow out of it, personally I don't care but maybe then. As far as I'm concerned he can fight.

When it comes to Broner I think he is a very good fighter and getting better all the time. As a person outside the ring I don't think I will ever like him. He is too disrespectful of other fighters. He brags way to much when he has not really done all that much. He calls out fighters he has no intention of fighting. He often acts like a clown and a fool and he is still making that tired joke about "anyone can get it". In general I think he is an annoying guy and copies Mayweather to the point of being ridiculous. He is a damn good fighter in his own right and does not need to be the new Mayweather. He is probably more exciting to watch than Mayweather because of his punching power and attacking style. I would like him much more if he would just shutup and fight.

I'm sorry, when I watch Broner fight it doesn't look natural. It looks like he's trying to emulate Mayweather as much as he does out of the ring.

I predicted this yesterday to my boxing buddies..they think Broner is the best thing since sliced bread.

They have two entirely different approaches man, some of the similarities are the stance, jab to the body and the way Broner arches his lead right hand, that's about it. Broner however has a counter left hook that he uses with far more consistency than Floyd, he's also an uppercut artist in close, throws right hooks to the body when he has his opponent pinned to the ropes, he's a more committed puncher. Again, some similarities, nothing wrong with that but two entirely different approach in the ring. The way they throw combinations aren't even close to the same either.
