yep, versus Haye was a good example of what his 'minor' defences should be, since Wlad was fighting a comparative midget yielding 40 lbs in weight to him. Like putting a light-middleweight in the ring with a cruiserweight. Haye was a valid opponent and an interesting media friendly opponent at that time.

But this Pianeta isn't a minor fight at all or a keeping busy, its just a plain joke. Is there any HW champion in the past who would consider Pianeta? Even SMW Carl Froch would laugh him off. Hes a failed sparring partner - I mean, wtf?

You know the situation with Povetkin, Wladimir wants to keep busy. When the other contenders can keep their win streak going and accept a fight with Wladimir then he can fight them.
