World class trainer Kevin Cunningham provided BoxingScene.com with an update on his fighter Devon Alexander's recovery from a bicep injury that he suffered in February which caused his fight against Kell Brook to be postponed for a second time. He said that the IBF welterweight champion has returned to the gym.
"Devon's bicep has healed and he's gradually getting back into his groove in the gym," Cunningham stated.
The Alexander-Brook bout has been rescheduled for May 18th in Atlantic City with Showtime set to air the fight. Over the past few weeks BoxingScene has published articles with Brook and Amir Khan taking shots at each other as they attempt to set up a future clash that would do huge numbers in their native country, the United Kingdom.
