Comments Thread For: Sergio Martinez: I'll Do What I Said, Stop Murray in Eight

WBC middleweight champion Sergio Martinez (50-2-2, 28KOs) plans to follow through on his promise of knocking out undefeated challenger Martin Murray (25-0-1, 11KOs) on April 27th at Club Atlético Vélez Sarsfield in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Martinez fights in Argentina for the first time since 2002.

"The fight will be difficult Murray has a lot to gain and very little to lose. [Murray] has the characteristic of self-motivation if necessary. I think that he is going to give everything to win or to reach the final bell but I will try to do what I said, and knock him out in the eighth," Martinez said.

It's Time Sergio Start Fighting The Best Of The Best; Even If It Means Move Up

Sergio needs to keep his hands up when he fights, and don't fight Chavez when he's not stone on pot. You will get KO'd early, Serg. Mayweather is afraid to move up and fight. Sergio is afraid to move up. Sergio gets KO'd out by a sober Chavez Jr. He gets KO'd out by Canello. Sergio can't beat a 47 year old Bernard Hopkins, and doesn't have the ballz to take such a fight anyway. Leonard and Hearns went all the way up to Light Heavyweight to find challenges. Sergio is great at calling out smaller fighters like Pacquiao, but he won't step up and fight anyone bigger, routinely has trouble with guys his own size, so it makes sense why he calls out smaller guys, or he just doesn't fight. Mayweather does the same thing. There's nothing credible about that.

Roy Jones and Junior Mayweather have no business being on the same page called KINGs, with Ali, Norton, or Whitaker. Jones and Mayweather hand picked their careers to death, because it was all about the money. In fact Jones had a contract with HBO, that nobody chose his opponent but him. That worked till one day he guessed wrong and got train wrecked by Antonio Tarver. The career went south from that point on. Junior Mayweather has never taken on the best of the best. He selcetively waits until they are too old, smaller, well past their prime, inexperienced, too many wars, or one dimensional, leading with their chin. Ali, Norton fought each other, in their prime, 3 TIMES, 15 rounds each. Not to mention they both fought the best of the best, multiple times in their primes, win, lose, or draw... let the money take care of itself. That's credible! Whitaker fought them all, was a technician, and fought the best of the best until later losing to Oscar Dela Hoya, another Legend.

Are you ******ed? Chavez wasn't high during the fight lmao weed stays in your system for a while. And Canelo would no Ko him, And why the **** would he fight Hopkins lmao. And chavez was 30 pounds or more than him on fight night so i guess he struggles with guys smaller than him?
