I just have a serious problem with fans saying so and so quit or is a coward. Anyone who has ever even sparred, knows the courage and skill it takes to get into a boxing ring and make a living that way.

It doesnt take that much courage when you're demolishing the other guy in the ring. Some guys are talent and no heart and some are all heart and no talent. It is what it is. Ortiz is a mental midget. Weve seen him mentally give up and even his trainers have said he wants to stop when his opponent gets the better of him at sparring. Hes a guy thats really good at fighting but hes not a fighter (if that makes sense). Look at it like this, no one but the haters ever call tyson, cotto, or de la hoya quitters despite the fact each have quit on separate occasions. The reasons is the circumstances surrounding each
Cotto - was done, had nothing left and could not even defend himself. He tried as long as he could.
Tyson- accepted his like a man and never returned to fight stating he wont disrespect the sport.
Hoya- Had no chance at that stage of his career. He was weight drained, a part time fighter, and was getting scorched until it became clear a win is just not possible.

Ortiz quits at the first sign of trouble. There is no toughing it out with him and not only does he not accept responsibilty he tries to outright pretend he didnt do it blaming everyone but himself. He only wants to fight when the other guy is getting **** stomped and thats not what boxing is. Every boxer will eventually run into a person who will give them fits and then we are shown who that boxer really is.
