Comments Thread For: Khan: The Mistakes I've Been Making Are Disappearing

AMIR KHAN has revealed that he is finally winning the fight against his toughest opponent – himself.

The former four-time world champion will meet Mexican Julio Diaz, 33, at Sheffield’s Motorpoint Arena on April 27.

And he believes domestic fans will see an improved fighter as Khan makes his first appearance on these shores for two years.

Khan, 26, will be having his second fight under new trainer Virgil Hunter and said: “At last, I am finally cutting out a lot of the mistakes I was making.”

Lies - all lies - Khan has been sparring with much smaller, lighter opponents to prepare for taking on a light weight.

Seckbach uploaded this image from Khan's latest sparring session.

He has the speed and if his accuracy and defence improves I can not see why he can't be a great fighter. A good defence negates anyone's power because chances of being hit clean evaporate very fast.Certainly Khan has improved just that I'm not happy with his next opponent.

When Khan decides to become a one/ two punch at a time type a fighter, and learns how to circle his opponents; make them reset, then he'll truly be dangerous. That said I expect him to do the usual 5-6 punch combinations and get clocked in bewteen. Biggest waste of physical talent and size.

But how will he eat without a jaw? On a serious note I hope it's true. He has talent.

He'll also need to learn to stop slouching over with his chin past his lead foot.

Will be interesting to see how he reacts when hit flush. Most fighters revert to type.
