Agreed, it's a purely promotional move.

The ssd thing is, when Oscar releases the video to the general public, more people will probably watch an Oscar-Canelo sparring match than the actual Trout-Canelo fight on Showtime.

    :/

I could see Canelo dropping him or something dramatic like that, knowing Oscar.

      not a great idea,

oscar's still got that left hook, though. count on it.

      oscar knocks canelo out

fights trout. gets a nice win on his CV, via left hook murder.

Why not? I still spar with some of the pro's in my gym even though I'm getting older now.

Sparring with 16oz gloves and headgear is much different than a pro fight.

too much complaining in this thread.

Oscar is a egomaniac. He will not make himself look like trash vs. Canelo. It's just for fun and marketing.

Oscar is obviously not his main sparring partner for this. Rather they do a couple of rounds and that's it.

And Oscar would probably beat most of Canelos sparring partners anyway.

Oscar will look "great" and appears to get the better of Canelo. Then they will announce Canelo vs Oscar on PPV in September

I mean. How could we NOT watch Canelo-Oscar?
It would be dumb but would sell huge ppv numbers.

I wouldn't be surprised if Canelo drops Oscar...wonder if they will still post the vid if that happens?
