Former world heavyweight champion Ruslan Chagaev (30-2-1, 19KOs) of Uzbekistan, recently replaced his coach, and plans to continue training at the Kronk Gym in Detroit under the Sugar Hill. The Detroit trainer also works with Dmitry Salita, Cornelius Bundrage and Jonathan Banks, and he is also a mentor to absolute world heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko.

chagaev has clearly lost a step so a change in his corner could be a good thing. he is getting a solid american trainer to work with him now. will the change help him? time will tell but he has much bigger roadblocks in front of him with his inability to get licenced in many countries because of the hep antigens in his body. germany is the only counntry that will sanction him as far as i know...
