Martinez needs canelo more canelo could say no and there is plenty more big money fight in his future while Martinez is old and doesn't have many options besides a rematch with Chavez jr or canelo at 154 cause Floyd aint fighting him and manny aint either

When you criticize Canelo's resume what's the first thing his fans tell you?

"Well he tried to fight P.Will, Kirkland and Ortiz. Whatever happened to them wasn't his fault!"

So yea, his fans will be content with saying he tried to fight Martinez and give him credit like he actually did.

and I would in part agree with Canelo's fans....he did sign to fight Paul Williams, he did try to fight Ortiz & Kirkland....so how Canelos fans are wrongon that?

I'm definatly agree with Sampson that if Canelo calls out Martinez he should go up to 160 no bullcrapp catch weight. You call out somebody you go down or up in this case. and yes he should worry about Trout cause that is not an easy task at all.

And the reason he would go down for Floyd is because he thinks Floyd is at the top of the sport so he wants to challenge him. Not that hard to understand.
Because hes undefeated. According to floyd all you have to be in undefeated in this sport to be a shot caller!

LMAO, Sergio has little to no fat during fights, he would have to lose about 5 pounds of pure muscle to make 154. It would take him about 6 months to do that healthily and Canelo doesn't bring him enough money for the work involved. He makes maybe 2.5 to 3 million or so to face Canelo and probably upwards of 6 or more at least to face Floyd.

Canelo hasn't ever even headlined a PPV before while Floyd has plenty. If Canelo wants it he can fight at 160....."It's just business"

money a lot more money. It's worth the sacrifice to do it with Floyd not so much with ginger balls.

Its clearly a negotiation tactic, on Sergio & Team.

No biggie. They can try to play hardball, but the truth is Sergio needs Saul more than Saul needs Sergio.

But we will see how things develop after Saul vs Austin.

...or he could just dehydrate the 6lb (I.e. 'cut water'). He apparently doesn't weigh much higher than mid-160s on fight night, which is considered a small post weigh in gain for a middleweight these days. Say if he sweated from 165 to 154 that's just under 7pc dehydrated which isn't too bad.

(Don't gets wrong...I think dehydration not always great, but here it's not the worst case).

I can understand this. He knows that Mayweather is too small to go up to 160, he'd probably have to eat 6 meals a day like Pacquia used to. Also he'd make the sacrifice because it would be a very big purse, which he could retire on, if making the weight caused him to lose his form. He's at that age.
