I can't understand why people are dismissing it being Cotto out of hand. Mexico - Puerto Rico on that date is massive, and IMO it's a less risky fight for Canelo than Angulo.

This what I want to know cause all their statements since this came out was that PBF just wouldn't sign right now not the he wouldn't fight him next in Sept. I personally think they are lying about PBF refusal to fight Alvarez in Sept at all. I believe PBF refused to sign that contract guaranteeing that fight for Sept right now but I don't think he closed the door to that fight in Sept completely

I don't think he's ever heard of overlooking his opponents. I'll believe it when a fight isn't made after May 4th.
Canelo must be used to it though with all those WW's he fought recently

he is about to face one of the toughest fighters at 154 next month so nothing wrong with fighting these guys,he wanted to fight the best in mayweather and he's not getting that,besides so what,it's not like he's bragging about being the best fighter,the pound for pound fighter,he's not even talking about being the best in his division,just because he's popular people expect him to face the all the tough ones,i would expect him to if he was bragging and claiming to be number one,but he doesn't make such statements,

Angulo would only be fine if he manages to defeat a top 10 fighter before the September otherwise it's just meh. But he's rumored to fight Rosado and that won't do it for me.
