Mosley skipped 140 and went straight from 135 to compete at 147.

it's all about who he fights

if he fights top fighters it will be a much more impressive feat at welterweight.

"duck" lucas matthysse to fight floyd mayweather?

          rly?

now, if he goes to 147 and gets he andre berto three year tour of duty (bums for a couple million a pop, 2-3 times a year,) then i will start to complain. if he fights good WW it's a more impressive feat to "duck" the 140 lb weight class, not a less impressive one.

shane mosley jumped to 147 to fight oscar de la hoya. he wanted that payday, but he thought he could win and be the champion at 147. he ended up getting the best win of his career.

it's quite common among the best of the best. pernell whitaker spent less than a year there himself, in addition to the four i named in my other post (de la hoya, mosley, pacquiao, and mayweather jr)

Only thing is that Floyd vs Broner is not happening, PAC is so focused on beating Marquez, Marquez is the only possibility for a big payday at 147 for Broner.

Yea it seems people either don't understand the history of boxing or they just take their hate for a fighter too far to the point where they post ******ed stuffs.

i can see floyd and broner scrapping if the money is good enough, and they've got no other options for big paydays. what's really keeping them from fighting?

                    money mayweather?

                    about billions?

right now it doesn't make monetary sense. down the line it may.
