Who is this writer who lied about boxing's TV ratings?

Boxing did not bomb during the Olympics. It pulled CNBC's highest TV ratings in two years since the Winter Olympics. I wish the lazy ass boxing journalists would get this through to people more. I'm sick of hearing people say it bombed all the time. It didn't. There's no mincing words with this.
This is what boxing actually did:

The home of Olympic Boxing, CNBC averaged 449,000 viewers for its 5-8 p.m. ET Olympic coverage, it's best weeks in the time period since the week of Feb 22, 2010 (Vancouver Olympics).

It sucks NBC put boxing on CNBC in the first place but it was still a huge success for the network, not a failure.

After the Olympics some troll writer went around spreading rumours that boxing had bombed on CNBC. He managed to get the same article copy and pasted onto other sites as well, but it isn't remotely true at all.

Look it's copy and pasted all over the place

I would like to know more about this writer and why he chose to make this story up and spread it about like this. Why can't boxing journalists be bothered to fight back against this people? If this was MMA they'd hang this guy by his knees and pelt him with rocks until he apologised. This guy gave boxing a lot of bad press. Anyone who wants to know how boxing faired during the Olympics will get led to that fake article.

"In a year where Olympics ratings were up from four years ago across the board, they were down on CNBC"

Boxing had the best rating since the least watched winter olympics ever. Stop looking at the absolute number and look at it as a comparison to the previous olympics. If i told you a guy made $13 million last year, you'd say that was a lot and a success. But im sure you wouldnt think that if i said that guy was Bill Gates.

The guy lied. Hence the reason I'm asking more about the writer. Do you get the point or not? Boxing did CNBC's highest ratings since the Winter Olympics. As I said there's no mincing words but apparently you found a way. Christ.

I mean, I make a thread saying the guy was lying and you go ahead and quote the guy? Really!?

The guy lied about what exactly? Calling something a failure or success is a matter of opinion, nto fact. The fact that viewership for boxing was down for pretty much only them in an olympics with 12% viewer growth could certainly be called a failure

                What did he lie about?

Boxing was the only sport with a decrease in viewership, when everybody else had an increase, with an overall 12% raise in viewership.

Sorry that you're too dumb to comprehend a simple concept, its there in black and white.

Neither article says that. Why would you even bother saying that?

It was their highest viewership in the timeslot for two years! One article gives no numbers for boxing and the other clearly states it was their highest viewer ship in the time for 2 years.

Why do you even post on this forum? You're clearly not a boxing fan. Any good news that gets posted here you're the first one to come in and try **** on it.
