Mayweather will never fight Martinez or anybody who's remotely a threat to him. the man signed a 6 fight deal with Showtime that guarantees him a minimum of 30 million per fight over his 6 fight deal.
I see Showtime and Golden Boy getting screwed over this on deal. just to cover Mayweather's minimum purse the PPV needs to sell 500k at $60. people pay to see Mayweather fights either to watch Canelo on the undercard or watch him get beat. if the haters don't think he'll lose they won't but and if Canelo isn't on it mexicans won't buy.
If CBS starts eating the loss of this deal you can bet Espinoza will be fired and GBP will lose it's network.Comment

Ticket prices seem kind of excessive to me for a country like Argentina. Thought it would be cheaper. Exchange rate is something like 1 arg peso for 5 USD.

it's a tricky issue. Though the official price is around 5 pesos, the real price of dollar (the one you'll find on the streets) in Argentina is around 7.50 pesos.Comment

I'm not sure if Mayweather can carry a PPV all by himself but I think 800k is a about right. if you look at spanish boxing forums or even spanish TV Guerrero isn't being given much of a chance at all. it was being seen as a set up fight for Canelo.
without Canelo on the card I don't see many mexicans buying it. I doubt they'll buy a PPV just for Mares and Ponce de Leon. his haters buy his PPVs to watch him lose but since Guerrero isn't being seen by the public as creditable threat I don't see them buying it either.
it's just Mayweather carrying it all alone against what's being viewed as an easy fight. does Mayweather really have that kind of fan base? I don't know.Comment
