A well known picture of Pacquiao when he was about 16 was floating around this site for a few years. His head was so big, that it was nearly the size of his body. I'm sure that some of you will remember this picture, and perhaps even have it. He looked as if he was starving.
Its just hard to talk to illogical biased people, these same people even after things are cleared up hold onto the initial reports because thats what they want to believe.

        he was big time

this is what usually defeats the silly logic of floyd stans

they keep asking how come pac jumped up from 130 to 147, the answer is, he was always fighting at between 140-147

against marquez and diaz, the guy was like 144 in the ring!, he has not added any weight since then despite the common belief, all he has done is not drain himself in the last week anymore.

Didn't you cut 20 pounds in one day before the Jones Jr bout and it weakened you and made you tired in the fight?

Pretty simple and should be easy to understand, don't know why so many seem incapable to grasp this.

              manny cut weight,,, so what,,,,,

and then when he moved up, he didnt cut weight,,,

              just like floyd,,,
floyd cut weight at 130, but as he matured and filled out he rose in weight and didnt cut weight,,,
floyd walks around about 150ish and fights at 147 or 54,,,
manny walks around in the 145ish range and doesnt cut weight for his welter fights,,,,

I think floyd not cutting weight is one of the keys to his success,,, he is never drained or tired from making weight because he stays in shape 365 days a year, and fights at near a weight he walks around at,,,
I think that is what really hinders fighters like hatton, toney , bowe,,, blowing up in weight between fights and then struggling to lose it all

absolutely. The crazy part is.....floyd was actually the smaller man in the majority of his fights

That's the thing that makes me laugh about ignorant people on this site.Floyd and Pac are similar after fight weights and there's been evidence when PAC was at 130 he'd go up to 145. An early PAC movie when he was in lower weight classes had him at 160. He basically didn't cut any more weight at 147 or even 140 . and on top of that he's just physically gifted that he got away with a lot .

I believe he admitted to putting rocks in his pockets or somethin to make weight when he was a teen lol :

He found work as a servant for a rich man. Luckily, he was treated well, he says. When he began boxing as a teenager, he admits having to put rocks in his pockets to make the minimum weight of 105 pounds (47kg).
When he was 16, Pacquiao decided to pursue a professional boxing career. At 4'11'' and weighing 98 pounds, it's unlikely he struck much fear in those early opponents. But his fast fists and unrelenting toughness quickly earned him respect.

he was such a lil guy lol. crazy part is that he also failed to make weight twice at flyweight...both resulting in losing his title on the scales and getting knocked out. Somewhere in there he must've started eating good because to be so small he gained weight pretty quick.

I don't want to state the obvious, but Pac is 5'6. Average weight for that height for a guy IS 125 -135 lbs (considering the person eats regularly and DOESN'T work out).

Factor in different body types/different metabolism, it's just a typical story of eating right and training hard. It's just not hard to believe that a 5'6 guy could weigh that little and be ripped like there is no tomorrow.

I go to the gym and see/hear guys in that height range, you know, the meatheads who go there to "buff out" weighing 160-200 lbs (muscle). That's not a natural weight for a 5'6 guy. There are 6'2 guys who don't even weigh 180.
