Something concerning the attempted banning of boxing.

Something concerning PEDs and drug testing.

Muhammad Ali actually being an ******* and not the great guy he's made out to be and not the GOAT as he's made out to be.

These ones are less persuasive but still fun.

The development of boxing from the Ancient Greeks to the London Ring Rules to the Queensberry etc.

I did an English talk on Joe Louis when I was 14 and I got the top mark for it, it's a very powerful tale.

What did you talk about when you did the talk on Louis?

Any of the three fight's of the century - Johnson/Jeffries, Schmeling-Louis, and Ali-Frazier are good for a paper.

I'm in the process of writing why Oscar De La Hoya was alienated by the Mexican fan base.

Just talked about his life story really and argued how he was a forgotten great in terms of historical impact.

Good topics, but a lot of those aren't persuasive. I have to try to change how someone feels about something...

That's an interesting subject. Don McRae touches on it quite a bit in 'Dark Trade'.

Oh yeah? I'll look it up. Thanks.

I've written four pages on it for my midterm, but it needs to be expanded to 6 to 8 for my final. I'll probably need a little more sourcing, so thanks for the rec.
