  • Comments Thread For: Odlanier Solis-Leif Larsen on March 22nd in Berlin

US-based Cuban heavyweight Odlanier Solis, 18-1, will return to Germany where he started his pro career and fight unbeaten Norwegian Leif Dolonen Larsen, 17-0, in a defense of the IBF I/C title on March 22 in Berlin.

This fight was first on for Madrid of October 12 last year but then Solis pulled out and Larsen stopped Jason Gavern instead.

On paper this look like a solid matchup but in the reality there should be a huge gap in class between these two as Larsen, a former NFL player, began boxing late and has never been near the likes of Solis. [Click Here To Read More]

Solis should win if he's any good at all, because Larsen didn't start boxing until his 30s.

Is Solis actually gonna fight this time, or is this another false start? Only time will tell....

I don't know how many times I've read this, or some variation thereof, when it comes to Solis.

I dont know what kind of chin Larsen has. If he has a solid chin he might be outclassed over the distance, if he has a weak Chin Solis stops him. Solis is not featherfisted but hes not really a big puncher either. He has great talent and skills and could use them so much more if he would be in shape.
But i hope this fight will really happen and i hope Solis will be much lighter as in his last fight against Airich. I hope he comes in under 250 pounds at least.
