The fact that people actually use that corny title in MMA shows just how lame and puerile the marketing is in that sport. It suited Tyson at the time but now it just sounds silly and contrived.

UFC Heavyweights are always losing though. No one can hold the belt for 3-4 years the way Tyson did.

Lesnar got the BMOTP tag and choked.

As long as the money is in boxing and not UFC the talent will also be in boxing. UFC is for guys that either can't make it in boxing or loves to roll around on the floor.

MMA fighters train on several disciplines but boxers train only in one. Most mma fighters come from olympic sports that have no future after they finish their amateur careers. In both sports are great athetes
There are many more of them.
Most mmafighters get into it at 18+ years of age and because they didn't make it to the top of their first discipline.

Obviously guys like Jon Jones and GSP are at the top of the heat when it comes to athleticism, but there's many more of those in boxing.
