I don't see Chavez winning a rematch. people forget that every time he tried and opened up Martinez lit him up and busted up his face. Martinez got sloppy and pushed for the KO and paid for it.

people can believe whatever make them feel good but if you watch the fight you'll see Chavez couldn't handle his speed. he tried but every time he opened up he got lit up.

in the rematch Martinez will know all the angles. if Chavez tries to charge Martinez he'll walk into something big and get KTFO. you never give a counter puncher a 2nd shot at a guy, that's just simple matchmaking 101.


if it's between Macklin and Vera, I'd rather see Vera. it'll be a good action fight and he won't back down from Chavez's size.

ideally I'd like to see Chavez vs Golovkin, just because it'd be a war but I think GGG is being built up for a Martinez fight next year. HBO wants and oddly GGG has been on Arum/DiBella cards. why help promote a guy unless you want one of your guys to fight him.

Ha, this kid is crazy. He got his ass whooped and he is saying Sergio is afraid? If they rematch, Sergio will beat him worse than the first match and Jr won't be able to catch him at all.

This is the first upclose picture I've seen of Chavez that was taken recently.


It's weird because for the past 3 months Chavez has been posting new pictures of himself working out, but he's still fat.

And I thought black was supposed to be slimming....

He doesn't look fat, in my eyes. Looks to be pretty strong.

But he does look too big to make 160 comfortably.

He has a big frame, (No joto), and will probably be well over 200 pounds when he is done boxing.

He has to be killing himself trying to make MW.

If Jr can give up the weed, train regularly and stop hanging out and watching youtube with his girlfriend, he'd win a Martinez rematch. Garcia said he really wants to train Jr for another shot at Sergio, because he knows Jr has all the tools to take him out.
But he needs to cut out late night BBQ's and get a good sleeping pattern going on, so he can make weight a lot sooner and focus more on his fight strategy.

He's still a spoon fed hype-job though.
