Canelo is getting above himself here.

Not if he ends up the headliner fighting Trout , cant blame him really he is trying to guarantee a May fight , but you cant blame Floyd either , he has a fight in front of him , just boxing politics , I hope they add a good one onto Floyds card .

Regardless of how 'enthusiastic Schaeffer may sound (It's his job to sound that way) this is a big disappointment for him, after having been touting the double bill for the past month and a half.

It also shows that whilst young fighters trying to make names for themselves are happy to let the promoter do it, a top fighter is his own boss, subject to his contract with the promoter, who, other than getting into the ring himself and fighting, is supposed to make all the money for him.

Mathysse v Peterson on the undercard for 5/4 and Alexander v Brook on the 4/20 undercard. Mares v De Leon can move to late May. Canelo needs to swallow his pride a bit. The kid hasn't beaten anyone and he wants his own cards?? I get that he's a draw but he would become even more of a draw if he fought on 5/4. Either way these are good problems to have. I remember a few years ago when the problems were fights couldn't be made now they can there's just not enough dates. Arum and TR should take notes they're really ****in the sport up.

Even though Cotto lost to Trout, a Canelo-Cotto fight would be huge. Mayweather-Guerrero would still sell alot of PPVS for two main reasons: People just wanto see him lose, he has marketed himself as a villain a-la wrestle mania and people just want to see him lose. Also because many Mexicans will watch Guerrero. It´s cinco de mayo we are talking here.

All I know is that Lopez/Maidana and Matthysse/Peterson better not be moved because of this crap. Alvarez vs Trout is a fine fight, but I rather see those other two first.

Unless I missed something, Alvarez Trout is on SHOsports (reg SHOWTIME), not PPV.
