Does the WBU hold any type of weight anymore ?

Whatever happened to the WBU ?

On March 30th, the WBU has sanctioned a WORLD TITLE fight between former world title contender Jeremy Williams who held numerous championships vs Travis Fulton ....

Okay everyone knows Williams was a serious threat and still can be that threat but they have him facing Fulton who has 19 wins, with 31 losses for a WBU world title.

MY question is whatever happened to the WBU ?

Matching Jeremy Williams against Fulton (19-31) does not help the sport or the smaller sanctioning bodies who are doing the right thing. The WBU should be ashamed of themselves.

Nope....they don't and they never will.

WBU are chasing bargain-bucket, pub-fight sanctioning fees and it shows.

But they will probably press release this boarddiscussion....they're that peripheral and pathetic.

That was Hatton bread and butter, he was proud of his WBU belt while fighting bums.

Nope and Good Riddance. Not even being portrayed as a legitimate and prestigious title in a Hollywood movie, The Fighter, could heighten its reputation amongst fans and casual fans.
