The welterweight division is really weak right now...

I think what really hurt it was when Bailey knocked Mike Jones who was a solid prospect, then Bailey only went on to lose an absolutely terrible fight vs Alexander. Then Ortiz lost to Lopez and that really screwed up the division and let a guy like Paulie sneak in and win a title.

Plus clottey fell off the map and cotto moved up, Margarito was exposed and beaten without his wraps, and Mosley aged.
