What was up with the "Prizefighter" semifinal robbery?? (Ian Lewison vs Derric Rossy)

I have never watched Prizefighter before. Ever.
But this time I watched all fights (maybe because I wanted to see how Audley Harrison did it), and I gotta say the semifinal between Derric Rossy and Ian Lewison was a highway robbery. And the commentators somehow played along saying blablabalbla...they thought Rossy edged it out or some fairy tale.
Lewison was CLEARLY winning that fight and almost knocking Rossy out. On many occasions.
My question for the insiders (=British boxing fans): why did they give Rossy the decision? Because they love Harrison so badly that they thought Lewison would have beaten him in the final?
I have no idea. Please educate me. I especially don't understand it because Lewison is british and Rossy is american.

    Thank you

I thought Walker also deserved the win over Rossy.

All Rossy did was hold and spoil in that fight, he was very negative, while Walker was taking the fight to him.

I didnt see this fight but i was quite impressed with Lewison against Hoffman even if it wasnt a good stoppage. Impressed enough that i looked up old fights of his. He looks a pretty talented guy, if a little old to have under 10 fights (31yo). I think he could be a handful at domestic level though...

I didn't score the Walker vs Rossy fight, but overall I felt Rossy MIGHT HAVE edged it because in my opinion Walker was mostly looking for that one big punch while Rossy was outworking him a little bit.
But I didn't score it cause I didn't care. If I would watch it again, maybe I would have Walker winning, who knows. But the Rossy vs Lewison semifinal was a highway robbery.

I agree, Lewison looked pretty awesome. As for the Hoffman stoppage: I think it was a good stoppage because Hoffmann didn't have his legs underneath him: the ref told him both verbally and with his hands to walk towards him, and Hoffmann didn't respond.
