Comments Thread For: Cotto Eyes Fall Return, Two More in 2014, Then Retires

Former three division world champion Miguel Cotto (37-3, 30KOs) is planning to have three more fights before retiring from boxing to spend time with his family and pursue his venture as boxing promoter on a full-time basis.

Cotto, 32-years-old, plans to fight in October or November of this year, and then wants to have two more matches in 2014 before walking away for good. He still has hopes for a big match with WBC 154-pound champion Saul "Canelo" Alvarez. Their match was going to potentially happen this year, but Cotto was upset by WBA champ Austin Trout last December in New York.

If Canelo losses, and I don't see him doing that. I don't think Cotto will fight Trout again if he wins....

If Ishe holds his title I think Cotto-Ishe is possible.

He'll probably go for whoever the weakest title holder is then try and get Canelo.
