Sources close to the principals have confirmed that Troy Rowland is out as Jermain Taylor’s next opponent and undefeated “Haitian Sensation,” Daniel Edouard, 16-0-2 (9), is in. According to the source, both Taylor himself and HBO preferred Edouard to Rowland stylistically. Taylor vs. Edouard will be on the February 19 HBO-televised Bernard Hopkins vs. Howard Eastman undercard in Los Angeles. Edouard, the USBA middleweight champion, is coming off a fight-of-the-year candidate TKO4 over Willie Gibbs.
