Comments Thread For: Mayweather To Use Dad, Roger and Jeff Against Guerrero?

For his upcoming fight, WBC welterweight champion Floyd Mayweather Jr. (43-0, 26KOs) is going to train under his father, Floyd Mayweather Sr. His regular trainer/uncle, Roger Mayweather is dealing with health issues. Mayweather will defend his title against mandatory challenger Robert "The Ghost" Guerrero on May 4th at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. Mayweather told Showtime that his uncle Roger may still be involved in his corner on fight night, and he says we may even see the appearance of uncle/trainer Jeff Mayweather in the corner as well.

Floyd is going to dominate Guerrero easily IMHO. Floyd is a solid 147lbs and has dominated much better fighters at that weight than Guerrero.

Too many cooks spoil the broth.Mayweather Sr has an ego as big as a prostate so I do not see how this will work.
Under Mayweather Sr, Floyd will hit and move.Guererro would be target practice.

Guerrero>>> old Mosley, overhyped Ricky Hatton, everyone else. You could argue the Zab Judah Floyd beat was better than Guerrero but that's it. Guerrero is going to give Floyd Castillo flashbacks even if he loses.
