    shorter stocky fighters to emulate/study

I've been boxing for a few months now and I want to watch somebody who has a similar built as me. I'm between 5'9 and 5'10 and I weigh around 180ish. I've always been stocky/built due to wrestling in high school and rugby throughout high school and college.

So far I'm watching Arthur Abraham. Anyone else I should watch who is currently competing in light heavy/super middle/middle?

Roberto Duran, if you are looking for a real high end option and there is always Mike Tyson.

Frazier, Tyson, Tua. You can also watch guys like sugar ray leonard and Marvin hagler against Tommy Hearns to get an idea of what you should do against a rangy boxer.

        Hmmm...

Off the top of my head, I'd say Tyson or David Tua.

Might be extreme examples, but pretty much built like a brick, short reach, explosive power, not in the classical "snap" sense, but enormous torque.

        Very strong base, balance.

Punches don't come from traditional angles, a lot of uppercuts, almost "upper hooks", good position to land body shots.

Montell Griffin was super stocky at 5'7" fighting at LHW.

Dwight Muhammad Qawi wasn't much taller then me, and I'm 5'6.

He gave Holyfield a pretty good fight back in the day at CW.

Think he might even went up to HW.

Wow this is great thank you. What about current fighters? I think Martinez always faces people taller than him.
