When have you seen Peterson run? Everyone he's fought, he's either ****** or boxed. Even against Ortiz he boxed his way back into the fight. Blame Ortiz for the draw, if he would have not back paddled from rounds 4-9 he would have won the fight, but he didn't. Rios fought his younger brother, you clearly don't watch boxing if you got those two mixed up. They fight at two different weight classes. Rios fought the "younger" Peterson brother at 135, Lamont was at 140 from the beginning.

Also let's not forget Ortiz was a MW the night of the fight..Peterson had to box in that fight..

Excuse me sir, who hasn't struggled with Ortiz and Khan? Ortiz gave Mayweather trouble in spots. Khan has pretty much beaten everyone he's fought with the exception of Prescott. He was actually beating Garcia before he got caught, so I ask again who hasn't struggled with those two? Ortiz has Maidan, another Argentine down three times. He's dropped everyone with the exception of Floyd and Lopez. So, again who hasn't struggled with Ortiz and Khan? Matthysse biggest fights were against Alexander and Judah, two fights in which he gave away rounds by not throwing punches. Again, who hasn't struggled with Ortiz and Khan?

I like Lucas, but wow this is a tuff match up for him I think. Peterson looks so big for 140, and does alot of things right. Hard fight for me to call.

Peterson couldn't even hurt Khan who has the weakest chin ever and now that he stops Holt he's supposed to stop Matthysse too? Oh please...

Peterson is actually the flat-footed fighter with zero head movement. He beat an over the hill C fighter in Holt all of a sudden he beats Lucas. Lucas by KO.

and Peterson was getting tagged by that right hand all night.

Lamont peterson said it best, he usually has to track people down - translation: apply the pressure, so you really do not get to appreciate his boxing ability, people must not remember theclosed door sparring session he and Mayweather had before mayweathers fight against Ortiz? Not that he dominated mayweather, but I heard he got his attention and held his own! Lamont peterson is a DOG! if Matthysse cannot put him out in 5 or 6 rounds, there will be hell to pay - Just because you can punch does not make you an elite fighter..

thats fine but is Peterson a Gorilla Dog like Mayweather?
