Lets look at this proposition objectively for a second here. First off let see who should get the first shot at baldomir.

Margarito?? For whatever reason has not fought since beating Cintron and i think he has Gomez lined up in Feb. Gomez is not in the Rings top 10 welterweights.
Corey Spinks?? The guy has been absent since losing to Judah in his hometown.
Next Luis Collazo?? the guy is still fightin gatekeepers at 147.

Heres the kicker the next top welterweight at 147 is DAMGAARD! (according to Ring, which boxing should go by anyway).

So if Gatti beats Damgaard I think he deserves the shot hed essentially be the man at welterweight with the biggest win if he gets past damgaard. wait, whats that i hear?? mayweather? sorry pbf fans sharmba mitchell is barley in the top 20 at 147.

This is how it should go-If Gatti wins he should fight baldomir and then Margarito should fight Callazo the winner faces the winner of Gatti/baldomir for the title. and mayweather stop dodging ppl at 140 and face the winner of a hatton/cotto match, thats were the $ is not fighting old/past their prime weleterweights. p4p my ass, that title goes to winky

LOL okay,i dont even know what the **** to say to that...but anyways,no he hasnt fought the most meaningful fights at that weight,Margarito has,simply because he has been camapigning at that weight longer.


and dude...irregardless of wether or not your a fan ,Margarito does have draw.If anything its been Gatti's stock who has suffered after being beaten one-sidedly by floyd in front of his fans.

Exactly.
Gatti is really quite a mystery. I love him too...don't get me wrong but he has made a career out of being entertaining in defeat. He sells tickets....so he gets some fights that others may be more deserving of.

i love arturo.. i think he can win this fight.. along with the fight in a few weeks.. he will KO damgaard early. and if he fights baldomir itll be a close fight.. like someone said.. i think he still has a few good fights in him.. i dont know why, but why are all the cotto fans hating on gatti?
