Broner does also have good backing, but that backing came from him impressing people. True there are some very talented unknown guys out there all over the world, but generally speaking the cream will rise to the top.

his first main card televised fight was against ponce and it was just awful, and most people thought he lost. most boxers wouldn't get another opportunity after that but haymon and co. made sure to secure an opponent broner would look great against...enter glass chin litzau and ta-da ko 1! a couple more bums after that and the hype ball really started rolling. thankfully all of his opponents since ponce have been come forward fighters to make him look good. no more guys who want to move and box no sir. broner is the cream of the hype with berto.
