Wlad has been a P4P fighter for years regardless of what you think of his competition. I would like to see a future matchup between the two but Wilder should fight Fury or Jennings or Povetkin before claiming himself the top guy. Just my opinion
Wilder might be the next top guy , he just needs more fights to show it

Would he have if he was fighting Wlad or Jennings or would Wlad look more impressive if he was fighting Stiverne?

Stiverne was a paper champion who never proved anything but destroying an Arreola that is the shadow of himself nowadays ( but can still rebounce)
You sure he's not diamond leaner or platinum leaner?

Is the fight over? It says it's showing on HBO but all I see is Kellerman and Lampley interviewing people....

Stiverne is a lumbering guy though - Jennings proved his athleticism and movement v THE champ tonight. I said anyway at the start of the fight that the strategy that Jennings seemed to employ was constant lateral movement, trying to tire Wlad and steal some rounds. I'm really torn though on whether this was just a terrible style matchup for Wlad - like Ibragimov or Chambers etc - or he has simply slowed down this much. I mean he looked clueless at times and I was sure he was injured for the lack of rights he was throwing, but even then he wasn't even throwing the left hook. Very bad performance - I said it reminded me of Vitali v Chisora but damn if no injury Wlad has no excuse.

Also way too many clinches (although a few WERE caused by Jennings ducking and rushing in) and it really makes you think what Wlad would do if he was on the brink of a DQ after a second deduction if it happened.

I think luckily for Wlad, if this was an off night only, he should perform better v the taller guys like Fury and Wilder, or have an easy night with the undersized, inconsistent and average mover Glazkov.

In the interview though Wlad didn't seem like he was going to stick around for too long...the way he was talking about Jennings being a future player in the division suggests retirement time is coming probably within 12 months.

Very uneasy viewing tonight...Wlad just puzzled me tonight. If there is really no injury (he might just not want to have any excuses and not disclose that) then he deserves criticism here.

A guy, who has been only boxing for 6 years, putting a performance like that against the Heavyweight champion of the world, that's what I call a super-learner.

I believe that any version of Vitali Klitschko would have smashed Jennings to bits though.

Chisora and Szpilka respectively. Around the same level as Stiverne and Arreaola are if you ask me. Don't make Stiverne seem like some world beater to justify Wilder's resume.

Basically the heavyweight division is the champ Klitschko, #1 contender Povetkin and then everyone else if you ask me.

Wilder and Klitschko both beat stiverne and jennings.
