Quick question for everybody. I saw Broner make an adjustment in the later part of round 2. Did the rest of ya'll see it? He did one quick simple thing that made Rees abandon his upperbody movement, and continued to do it throughout the remaining rounds.

What adjustment did you see?
As for Gavin Rees...he has sparred with Ricky Burns and now he has been in the ring with Broner. So he is in the best position to know how this matchup would go. His words carry a lot of weight.Comment

I agree. Rees' opinion holds the weight of a elephant IMHO. Rees' upperbody movement gave Broner a slight problem at 1st, but when he started to shove his left glove out to measure and time(stiff arm Rees), the head movement began to dry up almost immediately. Small slight adjustment. Most would probably consider it insignificant, but that adjustment changed the fight almost instantly. Sure he cant do that with everybody, but to make adjustments with no corner help is one of the hallmarks of a very good/great fighter. Broner is very aware of what is taking place in the ring, and is able to get a quick read on the fighter in front of him.Comment

Not only that but when Broner came out for teh 2nd round you could see straight away that he was more alert and switched on. He came out to show off in the 1st round and was probably taken a little by susprise but in round two he buckled down and focused and his reactions were sharper and he looked more focus. For some reason Rees negelected the game plan ( not that I think it would have made much difference over all ) but Gary was telling him where he was having success and what he didnt to do ut Rees didnt listen or atleast try to follow what Locket was saying he just kept loading up standing his ground and trying to hurt Broner which was never going to happen because Rees couldnt ****. His tactics in round 1 were spot on. He should have stuck with it but it made for a more netertaining fight and Rees gave us our moneys worth.Small slight adjustment. Most would probably consider it insignificant, but that adjustment changed the fight almost instantlyComment

As much as I love watching Burns fight, he's getting destroyed against Broner, his style is all wrong for Broner.Comment

Not sure if anyone at LW is going to really test Broner at this point. He is improving with each fight, and like Rees stated, he has great power at 135.
Hairbrush saying there are no real threats at 140 though is hilarious.

I don't understand why everyone wants to see this guy fight more bums if is not going to be a competitive fight.
Browner should be calling out brandon rios, Lucas matysse. guy like that, he got hes schooled by Ponce de leon, they made him come up in weight thinking he'd kO him easy and he lost the fight on the eyes of many experts.
If he ever fight a guy like brandon and wins the fight then and only then he can be consider an elite fighter.Comment
