Comments Thread For: Erik Morales' Father is Furious Over USADA's Threat

Jose "Olivaritos" Morales, the father and trainer of former four division world champion Erik Morales, is very angry with USADA (U.S. Anti-Doping Agency) for threatening to suspend his son for two years. USADA issued a threatening letter over Morales' positive drug tests for clenbuterol, which came up prior to Morales' rematch with Danny Garcia last October in New York. USADA alleges that Morales used the drug to improve his performance in the match.

The media campaign continues. Morales gave two positive tests as well, despite telling the media he'd eaten nothing but fish for the previous 10 days. Maybe there was clenbuterol in the fish as well.

Why bother, USADA's 'ban' is basically toothless, and if they wanted to win the battle for public opinion, blaming the testing agency that just forced the truth out of Lance Armstrong is one of the ******est 'went full ******' choices ever.

It's true that the mexican soccer players were not punished by the WADA because they realized Mexico has a problem with clenbuterol-contaminated meat :

WADA has subsequently received compelling evidence … that indicates a serious health problem in Mexico with regards to meat contaminated with clenbuterol. This is a public health issue that is now being addressed urgently by the Mexican government
Doesn't mean Morales is innocent but he deserves the benefit of the doubt.

stop saying it's the f!@cking mexican meat. that excuse is getting old and tired. cheaters are running amuck in sports especially in boxing and more so in countries where testing is limited or non existent. cheating is not limited to race, but if you know that there could be a potential problem with the meat then why keep eating the meat???? tfoh
