why there was no rematch between hagler and sugar ray leonard?

this was a very entertaining fight to watch. maybe as great as "thrilla in manila". hagler would have fought leonard a little differently in the 2nd fight. maybe not switching to orthodox? your thoughts?

Hagler wanted the rematch but Leonard "retired" again.

Youve got it wrong. Hagler was so disgusted with the decision he never put on a pair of boxing gloves again.

Hagler wanted the rematch and hung around a year.

After Hagler announced his retirement sometime later, Leonard offered him the rematch like the sissy he is.

I thought Ray won it but it was close, Hagler didnt try the first 3 rounds he thought unactive Sugar Ray wouldnt last long vs the 160lb power punching king

I maintain Hagler won round 3, or it was at least a draw.

Go watch HBOs Legendary Nights show on Youtube. Hagler says he hasnt put on a pair of gloves since that night, even in training.
