The World Boxing Council is pushing for a final WBC featherweight eliminator between Celestino Caballero (36-4, 23KOs) and WBC Silver champion Robinson Castellanos (17-9, 11KOs). Both fighters have told the WBC they are ready to fight each other and the match has a tentative date of April 20th at the Arena Robert Duran in Panama. Caballero, a former WBA champion, vacated his belt last year and started getting close with WBC President Jose Sulaiman. He wants to get a rematch with WBC featherweight champ Daniel Ponce De Leon, who Caballero defeated several years ago.
