Well the idea would be that you wouldn't have Jose Sulaiman giving his belts out to those he likes most. It'd have to be run by a trusted committee.

I think having multiple belts is fine because it allows for several people to become weeded out from the bulk of filler/journymen boxers. Naturally they stand out on their own but it helps them gain noteriety easier. Instead of having 1 belt and saying they are the ONLY good one worth anything.

I'm not dis*****g your idea, just giving input. I also think 1 belt would be interesting since it may make the sport look smaller.

My problem with that idea, is that the belt is usually the end of ambition. Look at Berto. He was given a vacant belt early in his career, and despite being in the most stacked division we've seen in some time, he soaked up all of HBO's budget with mediocre defenses rather than giving us the super fights everybody wanted to see. Then you look at an actual hall of fame worthy career like Joe Calzaghe. A man with undeniable talent and a pretty decent resume, also grabbed a vacant belt early in his career. Rather than proving he was the best super middleweight in the world, he defended his vacant title almost 20 times in his backyard before starting to unify. When you're as good as Joe Calzaghe or Andre Berto, being a contender isn't enough to satisfy your hunger. I honestly feel 1 world title might've dared those fighters to be great.

I agree but I think doing that would make boxers cheat even more since they're all competing for the same belt. I think they should fix the corrupt judges and fight outcomes would be better. Boxers would have to work harder to get the W. Which could also mean more boxers cheating using PEDs. LOL Either way it's like having to choose the worse of the poisons.

voted PED's, because they allow a fighter to do extra damage to another human being, mostly through conditioning. more punches = more damage.

robberies are different animal, but they're equally gross. boxing is the only sport where you can win a fight and still lose.

PEDs by far. This isn't a game. If you wanna juice to hit a ball further, run faster, increase stamina(team sports)...I don't care.

But if you are doing it to gain advantage in a fight, you literally have another man's life in your hands. There should be no tolerance, guys getting busted should receive lifetime bans, no question.

I think eventually someone is going to get seriously injured or worse.
