Promoters and TV execs, take heed..

The British middleweight scene is as buoyant as it was in the early 1990’s

I was fortunate enough as a young, wide eyed journalist, to attend the era-breaking fight between ‘The Force’ and Benn. I was also at the NEC to watch Benn and Christopher Livingston Eubank square off for the first time. Indeed i was there, ringside, for the rematch at Old Trafford when contested at 168

What i am trying to say is, the captive imagination of the public is there to be reignited.

    Barker
    Lee
    Macklin
    Murray
    Saunders

All of these fighters are capable winning a portion of the world title, i believe two of them are capable of sustaining it and progressing successfully up to 168.

The promoters and TX execs HAVE to work together now.

We are on the cusp of a brand new era in British boxing, an exciting, unpredictable era, with skilled fighters, equally matched. I appreciate that the characters might not be as fruity as the aforementioned legends, but they can bloom.

In the glory and wonder of the British 2012 Olympic boxing success, the public are crying out for 50/50 match up’s.

We need to unite and DEMAND these fights be made, for the very sake of BOXING!

Totally agree, but something headline-grabbing would need to happen in order to ramp up the interest in fights between them. Remember the DeGale and Groves build-up? At the moment there's not much beef between any of these fellas, and as we've seen with Fury-Price, the promotional thing could also be an obstacle (I know Saunders is with Warren, but I dunno about the others).
