  • Floyd had a great career that you can't deny but Duran is higher on the all-time list without a doubt.

Floyd is at best 20th all time and Duran is top 10 no questions about it.

    • Floyd had way too many misses (ducks)
And picked his opponents with calculating matchmaking far too often.

Most big names he beat were past it and overated to begin with. Most boxing fans think floyd has two losses as well. So do most experts. To floyds credit he rematched his unofficial losses right away and clearly beat the man most think beat him the first time.

Roberto duran is on another level, this isnt even debatable.

Duran is definately top 10 , you can argue top 5.
Floyd is more top 40, you can argue top 35

There has been a lot of great fighters over the last Century..

How can I go against the fair and objective BoxRec computer.

Floyd Mayweather will never win a belt at middleweight because he will never take on an opponent slightly bigger than himself, like Sergio Martinez or Gennady Golovkin. However, Floyd has never had a problem fighting smaller men like Juan Manuel Marquez.

Duran never ducked anybody. His achievements are greater than Floyds. Instead of cherry-picking old faded fighters like Shane Mosley or flawed fighters coming off a loss like Zab Judah, instead of ducking prime lightweights, welterweights and middleweights, Duran was always willing to fight the best boxers in their prime.

Even fighters much bigger than himself like Iran Barkley!
Duran wasn't naturally smaller he started at 135, Floyd at 126 to 130. However Duran was better.

              • Duran was an amazing fighter.

                Duran would have fought
                calzaghe , Froch , Ward

Martinez , pavlik , jermaine taylor, Abraham, quillen when some of you people were hyping him, along with hopkins .

                Thats how great he was.

What's there to rethink? It's there in black and white. Clear as crystal.
