Carl Froch v. Bernard Hopkins (2008)

The Carl Froch that beat Bute (some think this was the best version of Carl so far) versus the 2008 versio of Hopkins that schooled Pavlik. The fight would take place at 170 (just as the Pavlik fight).

This is a fantasy match-up that is rarely ever discussed, so I'd like to know who you guys think would win and how their different styles would mesh.

It's rarely mentioned because it's pretty obvious of the outcome.

Well Joe Calzaghe was officially able to get a win against this version of Hopkins. According to many Froch fans, Carl is 'miles' ahead of Joe so I figure some of them may argue that Froch can beat a 43 year old version of Hopkins at a catchweight (170).

I'm glad this fight never took place.

The idea of a slow guy naming himself after a striking snake is hilarious to me... so anyone who derails that laughter train is not a good thing.
