It's a shame about his back, a Golovkin fight would have been awesome. Hope he recovers.

How am I riding hard? Pirog has had this problem for awhile now, its unfortunate.

I've also said in the past his manager didn't do him any favors after the Jacobs fight, if they couldn't secure an HBO or Showtime fight it was my opinion he should have fought on ESPN to build his name more but they chose for the immediate larger purses fighting in Russia rather than taking smaller purses with US airtime as an investment.

If he can ever recovery fully and that's a big IF considering how serious a back injury can be a fight/rematch with newly recovered and back in the mix Danny Jacobs would be intriguing

Yeah and Sergio is ducking this guy. It seems to me Pirog is ducking boxing period....no way a guy in peak physical condition can be continuously injured like Pirog to the point where you can't even train. You would think he got hit by a train or something, why hasn't he had surgery yet to fix it if it's that bad?

Don't get me wrong, I wish him a speedy recovery (however unlikely) from this but he has pulled out of A LOT of fights and had other career delays/setbacks such as this one. The problem should have been addressed about 2 years ago - hopefully it's not too late.

The middleweight division must be weak if Jacobs is in the mix. His opposition has generally been horrible and he's looked poor against every decent opponent that he's faced.

Sad. I was looking forward to his return even though his career is in shambles.
