I really wonder how Floyd fans would justify this disgusting fight.

I'm guessing they're gonna run with some narrative about how Devon's resume at WW is as good as Robert's, and there are no other options anyway.

We criticise Broner for fighting Rees, Donaire for fighting Arce/Vic, Canelo for fighting non-JMWs - but the thing is, these guys are fighting whoever their matchmaker chooses. In reality, it's not their fault, its their handlers.

And this is the important part:

 Mayweather is his own matchmaker

Saying all this, I would still be amazed if he went with Devon. It would truly be a move of pure ego, with utter contempt for the sport and his fans.Comment

Listen arguing with a Floyd fan is like trying to convince a white supremacist that black people aren't the spawn of the devil..you will not change their opinion regardless of how much fact you present..this dates back to Jack Johnson and Joe Louis era of boxing...I have never diminished/critiqued floyd for his skills as a boxer but frankly anyone who can sit here posting over and over again on the same thread in defence of the man cannot be seen as an objective fan..seriously..Guerrero or Alexander? This is the best we can do? Actually I don't think 90% of the people on here even buy fights..why? Go to a bar buy an $7 beer and you'll watch it free..or log on and stream it..I know full well I haven't paid for a mayweather fight since he fought ODH.Comment

I'm a boxing fan. And I used to be a huge fan of mayweather. At 130 and 135 lbs not only was he a great fighter but he fought the very best in the weight class- corrales and castillo. Ever sine castillo gave him one of the toghest fights of his career that changed. He wouldn't fight he top jr welter, tszyu, the top welter, pac.
Plus, are u trying to insinuate that his own fans didn't want to see him fight pacquiao?Comment

That's a great point. Don't know why I bother. Probly bc I love the sport so much and hate to see the best fighter nt care to test himself or make the one fight everyone wanted to see that would've been the biggest fight in boxing histry sit both mayweatger and pC making 60-70 mil each, probably moreListen arguing with a Floyd fan is like trying to convince a white supremacist that black people aren't the spawn of the devil..you will not change their opinion regardless of how much fact you present..this dates back to Jack Johnson and Joe Louis era of boxing...I have never diminished/critiqued floyd for his skills as a boxer but frankly anyone who can sit here posting over and over again on the same thread in defence of the man cannot be seen as an objective fan..seriously..Guerrero or Alexander? Guerrero is clearly an all around better boxer, only thing Alexander has over him is speed that's it. Devon can't even fight on the inside, watch his fights man, people complain about his holding simply because of that inability.Comment

of course he said alexander is more exciting than guerrero. he can't say anything that's an opposing viewpoint to Mayweather or his group of sheeple otherwise he'll no longer be allowed to train at their gym. they're a bunch of yes-men/**** riders, doing whatever it takes to further their own self interestsThis Arias dude said that Alexander is more exciting then Guerrero

I can pick a round from Guerrero-Katsidis & 1 round from Guerrero-Berto thats more exciting then Alexanders whole career

He also said that Guerrero only beat Berto at Welter but who has Alexander beat at 147? Maidana & old man Bailey
