Kell Brook admits he is still in limbo after Devon Alexander pulled out of their title fight on February 23 with an arm injury.

The champion is likely to require up to six weeks off before preparing for a fight, providing the injury is genuine.

That was put into doubt when Floyd Mayweather tweeted that Alexander was favourite to fight him on May 4.

However, the consensus is that Mayweather's comment was a red herring and that Alexander will be forced to fight Brook by the IBF as his mandatory challenger.

For the time being, a devastated Brook is trying to stay focused on training.
