De Leon vs Gamboa was the last one. Lara vs Vanes was a purse bid. When they do business together they sell out arenas like Pac vs Hatton and Margarito vs Mosley.

Even beyond the biggest fight that could be made (don't want to mention it by name) Am I the only one who gets depressed when I find out that one of two fighters I want to see get in the ring belongs to GB and the other to TR?

Pacquiao was not "partially under contract" with Golden Balls. The contract they forced him to sign when half dead with fatigue, (read up on the REAL story of this farce) was not valid as Pacquiao was under contract with Top Rank at the time and a clause forbade any DISCUSSION about contracts with any other promoter. Arum is not ******, he knows that Oscar is a sly double-dealer, who tries to hijack fighters from other promoters, whilst hiding behind an open smile. It was the old Don King dodge, slightly modified, of a suitcase full of dollar bills. Well.....business is business I suppose.

The deal eventually was that Oscar would get a TINY percentage of any bout against one of his fighters. Arum stated to this site that it was very tiny and cheaper than litigation.

We can be pretty sure that the "undisclosed" portion of Oscar's abject apology to Top Rank included that little percentage, plus lots of money. think Arum was pretty big about it, considering the way Oscar had been villifying him and Pacquiao. And, being "big" most likely demanded BIG compensation.........

Most of the time they do business one fighter is about to jump promotional ships. I think Gamboa-Ponce De Leon was the last fight they did and Pacquiao-Hatton the last superfight. It's been almost 4 years since they co-promoted a major fight!

It directly ties to the Pacquiao-Mayweather bullsh**. The minute those two are gone, I bet this changes.

I have been looking for solid information on what happened throughout this event. Do you have a link or website where you were able to read the whole story and the results of the suit? I thought at one point there was a document released showing exactly how Manny's fight purses were broken down after the suit have you seen them?
