I likely wouldn't have picked Pac either but I think he's a much tougher fight for Floyd than Marquez was. Going into Floyd-Marquez, I aw that as a whitewash. Marquez has always looked ordinary against patient counter punchers. Floyd has had some exciting moments against fast southpaws with pop and Manny was a lot more dangerous than a Judah or Corley.

Around 2010, it would have been a fight. Manny's hand speed and feet would have forced the best out in Floyd.

Sucks that Manny's team killed it when it was closest.

The first two knockouts he suffered are ridiculously irrelevant. The first was from a combination headbutt, low blow, and maybe a punch. The other, he missed weight by a bunch and went down from a nothing body shot when he was starving down to 112. His chin was nails between Hussein and Marquez IV and he took some heavy lumber in spots. I think Floyd might have proved better but it wouldn't have been on size. Pac matured solidly into a small Welterweight. His measurements are virtually identical to a Jimmy McClarnin who had a similar rise up the scale.

That's what you call getting your **** knocked in. And floyd made it look easy by outboxing Marquez too. And a few Pacquiao fans thought that Pacquiao could beat Floyd, lmfao!

Floyd and Marquez are different counter punchers. Haven't seen Floyd's power in a while, last time I saw it was when he Koed Ortiz with a cheapshot. Pac is faster and throws more combos than Marquez. Bottomline Marquez's style and the conditioning he brought on fight night with Floyd is not the same style that Pacman is going to bring to the table. I know Floyd will not risk exchanging with Pacquiao so he'll probably shoulder roll and counter the whole fight. If the fight goes on PAC will maintain the pace, speed and power to trouble Floyd. As of now I still see PAC as a threat to Floyd.
