In a moment of clarity ive just pictured how pointless and mundane this thread is. Apologies. Ive been in the library all day writing a 10,000 word dissertation and my brain is fried. Or maybe i subconsciously just wanted an excuse to google search Bradleys body (all ****)? Who knows... Either way feel free to over this thread

edit: You can see how fucked i am as i voted the wrong way in the poll.

    Im going home

fair... though an argument can be made that less muscle mass can leave you looser and more able deliver punches, thus making them harder. Im not claiming expertise in this but from what ive seen in the gym when guys bulk up too much they tend to lose a little power. However i cant imagine Bradley pulling off his style without the extra body mass being able to bully guys in the ring

I would never doubt his commitment or work ethic. Just a question that popped into my head... also if he is weighing in at 140/147 with that physique is it not possible he could have been better at a lower weight class?
He may have been able to do well at something below 140, maybe at 135. I just think his genetics allow him to have a physique like he does. His dad is a big dude but he was also some kind of a pro/semi pro athlete when he was young. I saw pics of Tim when he was a kid and he was a beanpole so anything is possible I guess.

I assume you mean if he did not lift weights so much. I am sure he is a very muscular guy if he never lifted a weight. I voted negative although neutral would be a good answer also. I don't think a certain amount of weight training does a boxer any harm and it might help them. I am no expert on the subject. Tim is influenced by his father and they seem to think lifting weights is the answer and the more weight you lift the better. The trouble is Tim's father has never boxed at all and does not know anything about training a boxer. I think Tim lifts weights to excess judging by his extreme muscularity and the 24 7 shows that show him constantly lifting heavy weights. I think he is too tight and overly muscular and it takes some of the speed and snap out of his punches. Tim is always flexing his muscles and talking about his big guns so he seems to think the more muscular you are the better fighter you are. Robinson, Louis, Hearns, and Duran did not lift weights at all to my knowledge and they had very fast hands and great punching power.

He's not a power puncher so it doesn't really matter. His style he like to lounge in maybe if he sat on down on his punches more it probably would benefit him more.
