Are vegan diets good for boxers?

With all the talk of PEDs in these forums, boxers that do things right nutritionally are overlooked. With that said, what are the pros and cons of a vegan diet when used by a boxer?

As long as you get enough protein its fine and very healthy. Look at Bradley, he turns vegan during training camp and his body is insane.

If done correctly, a vegan diet is good for everybody.

Personally I couldn't do it but the benefits are obvious, especially with today's saturation of processed foods.

As long as you get protein (1 gram for every pound of bodyweight) you should be ok. But I wouldn't do it unless you really have to. The2 big teeth in your mouth are designed to rip through strong meat.

Why cut out the food source which contains the highest source of protein?

The 4 small teeth (canines) are intended to tear meat. The bigger teeth are for grinding things. The big teeth are similar to the teeth of a cow and cows eat grains and grass.

Processed foods and additives cause cancer. This is why so many people get cancer now days because of all the man-made ingredients and preservatives.
Natural is the best way to go.......society makes it the hardest way to go though.

                    My mistake.

That is very true. Most of what the large supermarkets sell isn't safe to feed to a dog. But, eggs, untouched meat are all good. I find it really, really hard to get my 200 grams of protein a day, even with protein shakes so I can't imagine trying to do it on a vegan diet.
