Correct, I guess I said it wrong. He has said that he doesn't plan to move up and will be fighting at 154. It's not that he would be drained though fighting at 154, it's just that he is too lazy, is the draw and doesn't have to.

Cotto when he was younger made even 140. Just because he did, doesn't mean he can do it today. That said, when he fought Manny, he laughed because he made 146 in his prior fight WITH EASE! Today, if Cotto says he struggles to make a certain weight, that does not mean that he couldn't at one time.


Same with Canelo. He was able to fight at 147 then 150 then 154 and now struggles to make 154. So when Canelo said he can make a less than 152, it's because he felt he can. In 2013, that was no longer the case. Canelo brought up that he would and did struggle to make 152.
