and Cotto isn't beating Bradley, btw. Bradley is too rounded. that's a guy who is at least borderline elite.

1. Margarito is suspect of loading his gloves.
2. Cotto was pounding on Clottey's head until the head butt. It influenced the rest of the fight.
3. Pacquiao, yes he took a beating but he had no trainer, and was a mental disaster.
FMJr. did not "bead down" Cotto. Wake up.

These rumors may be true. Here is a link to an article by the PR news paper "Primera Hora". Take the "google translate" as a quick fill-gap translation.
Will there be another coach in the corner when the boxer Miguel Cotto cagüeño make his return to the roped between October and November this year?
That could be a reality, after the boxer himself indicated in a press conference yesterday that still has not decided whether to continue under the tutelage of Cuban coach quoted.
Cotto even hinted that lately has not had communication with Diaz, but yielded no clothes on their current relationship.
"I have no idea (of what makes Diaz). It's in Miami, "Cotto said when questioned. "These are things that we will study, we will discuss and decide whether to continue (with it) or not."
Diaz debuted in the corner for his fight repossession Cotto against Antonio Margarito in December 2011, but has since dropped the Puerto Rican won by decision against Floyd Mayweather Jr. in the summer of 2012 and then lost his title bout and, in turn, lost undefeated at Madison Square Garden against Austin Trout.
Regarding his next opponent, Cotto was equally sparing in their expressions and preferred to let time help you determine it, especially now that summer is rumored fights involving names like Mayweather, Trout, Saul "Canelo" Alvarez, Devon Alexander, Tim Bradley and Robert Guerrero among the most notable figures in the 147 and 154.
"We are expected to follow in the days and the best approach, the best, as we agreed that we come to us, that is what we will choose," he said without mentioning Cotto preferences.

Mayweather did, indeed, beat down Cotto (who was holding on in the 12th and would've been put away if Mayweather had a smidge more power).
Cotto was never an elite fighter. the evidence isn't there to support the claim. it was supposed, but he never backed it up. i apologize if that disturbs you.Last edited by S. Saddler 1310; 02-09-2013, 07:33 AM.

Diaz seems a great fit for Cotto from what i can tell....
The truth is Cotto has had a hard career thats starting to catch up on him and his facial tissue. Plus he has outgrown his best divisions and is now the lil guy in his weight class thus he's less effective. Diaz is a top Trainer and Miguel should stick with him. If he bails my initial instinct is that its a case of an older fighter not wanting to put the work in that a no nonsense task master like the Cuban demands of him...

Bradley's certainly knocking on the door of the elite and, as a still-prime fighter who hasn't taken a ton of punishment, can yet prove himself to belong in that category. Cotto had his chance to prove he belonged there and didn't make it.
certainly, excepting punching power, Bradley's a more complete fighter than Cotto ever was.Last edited by S. Saddler 1310; 02-09-2013, 11:52 AM.
